in 'the soldier' brooke shows that we should be proud of are country and to suport who was in the was war and that it is a noble thing to do die for your country. 'think only this of me' this shows that he want people to remember him in ways in which he decribes. 'only' this shows that he just wants us to think that of him so if its not said then dont think it because he is the noble one and that he cant think of more things that he could be remembered for.
